Dr. Rachel Schleichert, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive cosmetic surgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of skin cancer.
Excellent patient care is Dr. Schleichert’s top priority. She believes in providing the safest and most effective treatments for her patients. She practices evidence-based medicine and uses advanced techniques to minimize recurrence and scarring. Her goal is not only to completely remove each patient’s skin cancer, but to reconstruct each surgical wound with an optimal aesthetic outcome.
Dr. Schleichert completed her ACGME-accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) fellowship and ASDS-accredited Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at the Skin Institute of South Florida and Hollywood Dermatology. To date, she has performed over 4,000 Mohs procedures.
Dr. Schleichert received her medical degree cum laude from The Ohio State University and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her internship in internal medicine and her dermatology residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She has authored several articles in renowned dermatologic journals and given lectures at professional conferences. She is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Maryland and enjoys mentoring students and residents.
When Dr. Schleichert is not seeing patients, she enjoys traveling, hiking, working crossword puzzles, and her husband’s cooking and company.
