Dr. Julian O’Neil Moore FAAD FAOCD is a Board Certified Dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology in South Florida. Dr. Moore is committed to continuing education and keeping up-to-date with the latest and most innovative techniques and therapeutic advancements in order to provide his patients with the most cutting-edge treatments in dermatology. Dr. Moore graduated with honors in Biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook Health Sciences Center in 1995. A New York native, Dr. Moore obtained his medical degree and doctorate from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. In 2002, he completed his medical internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York, and soon after was selected to complete a very coveted fellowship in the department of dermatology at The Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, he then completed a second very prestigious joint fellowship in the departments of radiation oncology and dermatology at The Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in New York City. Both fellowships focused on skin cancer and novel approaches for genetic testing and treatment of cutaneous malignancy. Dr. Moore completed his residency in dermatology at Broward General Medical Center/Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Current Role & Past Experience
Dr. Moore is a full time attending physician and partner at Hollywood Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery Specialists- Member of DermCare Management, LLC. He serves as the Assistant Director for the Dermatology Residency Training Program at Larkin Community Hospital, and is a consultant at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West. Dr. Moore is the Key Opinion Leader for Vyne therapeutics and speaker for Ortho Dermatologics, Pfizer, Galderma, Eli Lilly, Cutanea. He has also served as a consultant for multiple dermatologic laser companies.
Publications & Contributions
Dr Moore has had numerous first author articles and abstracts published in many high index peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at many scientific meetings and congresses both nationally and internationally. He is a member of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, Society of Investigatory Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Cancer Society, and the NIH/National Cancer Institute’s Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities, amongst others. Dr Moore is involved in several ongoing research projects in Dermatology and cancer research, and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health / National Cancer Institute to conduct multiple clinical and scientific studies involving topical antioxidants and genetic markers in skin cancer. Notable, is his ground breaking research work with PCNA proliferating cell nuclear antigen and its implication in skin cancer as well as the establishment of specific genetic markers as predictors in carcinogenesis.
Dr. Julian Moore lives in Weston, FL with his wife and they are very proud parents of two sons.
