Does QWO really work?

woman holding orange on light background.Cellulite is a common concern for many women. This dimpling of the skin, often seen around the buttocks and thighs, can develop with age, regardless of a patient’s weight. The “cottage cheese” appearance is often bothersome, especially in situations when women are wearing a more revealing outfit like a bathing suit. Fortunately, there’s a way to address cellulite. Creams, massages, and other methods never work, because they don’t help the problem at the source. Instead, our team at Hollywood Dermatology and Cosmetic Specialists may recommend a tried-and-true way to improve cellulite called QWO injections.

What is QWO?

The team at Hollywood Dermatology and Cosmetic Specialists describe the QWO treatment as a wonderful way to dissolve the tight, fibrous bands that cause cellulite. It releases the deep dimples that are characteristic of moderate and severe cellulite with an injectable medication. The enzymes in the injectable are completely safe, and the injectables is one of the first FDA-approved cellulite treatments on the market today.

What medication is in QWO injectables?

QWO is formulated with CCH, or Collagenase Clostridium Histolyticum. This medication is used to break down collagen and stimulate the skin’s ability to create new skin. It has been tested in trials for cellulite and is proven to offer noticeable improvements when injected into the buttocks area. It reduces the appearance of cellulite and helps women restore their self-confidence and feel better when wearing more revealing clothing.

How long do the results of QWO last?

Most of our patients will enjoy the benefits of QWO cellulite injections for several years, and future injections can be done to reduce the appearance of new cellulite that might develop. The results of this treatment are often seen several weeks after the first set of injections, and three treatments spaced three weeks apart is recommended.
